Do you want a different page than your blog, to be the first page your readers see when they come to your WordPress site? Or maybe you are looking for a creative way to market a product or service… either way, try using a Landing Page! Landing pages can mean more than one thing. The traditional definition of a landing page would reference the page the visitor originally landed when clicking the inbound link to get to your website. You may see Landing Pages in Google Analytics when you look at your reports.
Another definition of the term landing page is a page used solely for the purpose of marketing a product or service, and capturing information from a form, such as subscribing to a newsletter, receiving a free download of an article or product. Typically, nothing else will be promoted on that specific landing page and the headers, footers, sidebars and menus will have all been removed.
All Bloom themes come with a Landing Page template. They all basically work the same!
Just create a new page. Title it the name of your page, promotion or special offer. Under Page Attributes, select Landing from the Template drop down. Then start designing your content.
One of the nice things you can also do with this page would be to create your own Google Analytics code specifically to track data on that page. You would copy and paste your new GA script in the Header Scripts box located on your page.
