There are 4 Widget Areas on the front page.
Front Page 1:
The Front Page 1 widget area in the Gallery Pro theme demo uses one Text widget to display text and a button.
Gallery Pro comes pre-loaded with a default image that is used as the background for the Front Page 1 widget area. You may use this default image or go to Appearance > Customize > Front Page Background Images to upload your own. The default image size is 1600 x 900 pixels. Then go to Appearance > Widgets and add a text widget to the Front Page 1 widget area as shown.
Front Page 2:
The Front Page 2 widget area in the Gallery Pro demo has 4 widgets. The first widget expands the full width and uses the Featured Custom Post Type widget to display Portfolio Items. You may also display pages or posts, using the same plugin.
The layout of this widget area is dynamic to the number of widgets you have activated. The first widget is always full width and the widths of the consecutive widgets will adapt depending on how many widgets are activated. For instance, there are 4 widgets in the Gallery Pro Demo, the first has the portfolio items, and the following three text widgets adapt to a three-column layout. Here is a screenshot of how they are setup in the Gallery Pro Demo.
If you’re wondering where to find the Icons that are used in the demo, you can find them at Ionicons.com.
Front Page 3:
The Front Page 3 widget area is exactly the same setup as the Front Page 1. Follow the same setup as that widget area.
Front Page 4:
The Front Page 4 area is not active in the Gallery Pro Demo. However, it follows the exact same pattern as the Front Page 2 widget areas.
Blog On the Home Page
Gallery Pro has a setting to display the blog on the front page or not. To enable or disable, you can go to Appearance > Customize> Front Page Content Settings. From that page you can set it to “show blog” or “hide blog”.
Front Page 5:
The Front Page 5 widget area is exactly the same setup as the Front Page 1. Follow the same setup as that widget area.
